Hope you’re doing well. And Collette and the boys.

Unfortunately, this is the third time as you know that my email address has been listed on a group list and the group list has not been blind copied as I’ve requested at least twice in the past. Please remove me from distribution. If I want to read your posts, I know where I can find them. But at this point since the person sending your blog out can’t seem to blind copy everyone instead of listing all of the emails, despite repeated requests, I’m going to ask to have my email address removed completely.

Today’s Task – February 27, 2013

We are all familiar with the phrase; the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill. It is easy to think that somewhere out there is the perfect place where everyone is always happy, lives in a bigger home, owns a nicer car and is married to a ruggedly handsome man or a Victoria Secret model. But that is an illusion. Granted, they may be dreams for which one might aspire, yet we must also consider where we are at this moment, and where you are right now, is the best place to do as well as you can.

How many times have you been in class and allowed yourself to drift for a moment? How about when you are talking with others and you have no idea what they have said because you are already thinking about what you want to say? Each day I witness students with goals for the future, who are unwilling to take care of the things today that will allow them the opportunity to be successful in the future. If you aspire to be a great musician, you must practice….today! If you want to become a doctor, you must pay attention in biology class….today! It is a fundamental truth that to move from point A to point D, you are going to have to earn your way through B and C.

Today, no every day, I encourage you to consider that the question is not: How do I get there from here? But instead is: Where am I right now…today? Learn to be focused and in the moment. The ability to focus on the moment gives you the chance to be the best you can be right here, right now. And that ability will move you closer to your future goals.
